First Overnight Visit
Well, we had our first overnight visit to grandmom and grandad's house Friday night, and it went really well! We met our great-grandmother, who came all the way up from Orlando to visit!

4 weeks old
How has time flown by so quickly? Adelyn is already a month old today, it seems like yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. We have learned a lot about ourselves this month, to say the least. We feel like we are parenting experts, though. HAHA! She is such a happy, easy baby. She is so alert, she loves looking over Daddy's shoulder at anything and everything- especially the fridge! When she starts to get fussy, she loves it when we hold her so she is 'flying'. Such an oddball! She has such great head control already, it is amazing! Adelyn also has a gas issue, she has some explosive toots! Paul told me last night, as he was changing her diaper, that she came extraordinarily close to hitting the wall with her poo (i know everyone wants to know that).
I am sure we will get our first real smile soon. We cant wait to see what surprises she has in store for us in the next month.
We are going to my parents house today so that Adelyn can meet her other great-grandmother who has come up from Orlando. Hopefully our first overnight sojourn will go well. Wish us luck!

2 week checkup
We had our first doctor's visit yesterday, and it went quite well. Adelyn is back up to her birth weight and has shrunk .25in. I guess her head was cone shaped and has flattened back out and getting some what normal after being jammed into my pelvis.
Dr. Thompson was very happy with her color. The only yellow still visible is in her eyes, and, from what I hear, her bilirubin level has to be somewhere between a 3-5 for that to go completely away. They are getting better too, though. We have our next appointment at 2 months, where she will begin her first series of shots. Poor thing, I do not envy her!
I also had my 2 week post-op dr appointment. I have been told that my scar is healing nicely and while I still cant do any heavy lifting, I can drive a car again! Unfortunately, my tailbone may take up to 6 weeks to fully heal.
Today we had our first real outing. The three of us went to the local farmers market, primarily so I could get out of the house and get a breath of fresh air on this beautiful day! Here are a few pictures....

We also had our first real bath this week.... still deciding if we like them or not!

Wiggle Worm
9 days old.... If this is any indication of how she will be during her crawling and toddler years, we have a lot to look forward to... and will need to be in much better shape to catch her!
