Adelyn had her 2 month wellness check up yesterday, and she has grown quite a bit! Here are her stats:
23 3/4 in (90th percentile)
12 lbs 7 oz (85%)
39 cm head (78%)
She is quite the chunky monkey, having gained nearly 5lbs and grown 2.5in. in just 7 weeks! We also got several immunizations, putting us in a bad mood all day (which is completely understandable, because who likes getting shots?). These are what she got:
2nd Hep B
Rotatea (rotavirus)
Pentacel (Polio, DTap, Hib)
Prevnar (Pneumococcal)
She has her next apt in two months. I will be very interested to see how much she grows!

Happy 2 Month Birthday!
Yesterday was Adelyn's 2 month birthday! She is getting so big and changing so much on a seemingly daily basis it is hard to keep everyone up-to-date with pictures, etc. She doesnt really have a set schedule, yet. Though we do try and get her to bed around the same time every night, after her bath, of course! Last week she began sleeping 7-8 hrs straight before waking up anywhere from 330-5 to feed once during the night. She then wakes a little before 7 and who knows her schedule the rest of the day! Let's see what she can do:
-smile, all the time, sometimes even spontaneously! and has recently seemed to squeal when really happy
-talks, a lot
-holds her head steady
-can hold her head at 45 degrees when on her tummy (though she doesnt like tummy time too much, so it doesnt really last!)
-she has rolled over (front to back) a few times
-follows rattles moving from one side of her face to the other
Paul and I are finally getting settled into life as our own family of 3. We are recognizing her cries- she has her 'fake' cry, when she is just bored and wants to change positions or be picked up, her feed me/change me cry, and then there is her 'monster' cry- when she is generally p.o'ed or absolutely exhausted.
We go Friday to Dr. Thompson's for her 2 month checkup. We are all anxious to see how much she has gained/grown in the past 7 weeks. She also has to get her first round of immunizations, I am sure she will do better than I will! Here are a few pictures to tide you over until I update after the appointment with her stats!

She HATES terrycloth towels, so, thanks to Nana, we have switched to blankets which she LOVES

Happy Easter!
I cant believe Adelyn is already 6 weeks old! She has grown and changed so much already! She has very good head control and is very alert. She loves looking at the refrigerator and the fan! We have tried giving her some 'tummy time', but she HATES it because she cant see anything! She hates it so much she has already "rolled" over 3 times! Usually she just kicks herself around in a circle, though. It is fairly amusing to watch even though it ends with her screaming at the top of her lungs. She also smiles all the time now, which we love to see.
We went on our first real beach outing last week. It started off great until we got to the beach at which point Adelyn decided she had had enough. We tried walking her in the stroller, which usually puts her to sleep. It failed, miserably. We lasted about 20 min before packing up and heading back, during which time she promptly fell asleep. We will keep trying, I know she will end up loving it!

We spent Easter weekend with Paul's family on Sea Island. We all had a great time and Adelyn loved meeting her aunts, uncle and cousins.

We also spent some time with Mama Friday morning before heading over to Sea Island....
