Daycare!

Its official! After talking about it for months, Paul and I have decided to put Adelyn in part time daycare, Tuesday and Thursday mornings. While I love spending time with her, we feel that she is old enough to need social interaction with people her own size/age. There are some things that I feel I cannot give her and we know she will benefit so much from this. She has such an outgoing personality we know she will have no trouble adjusting, and will most likely not miss me all that much. I am excited to see all of the fun art projects she will do and what new things she learns. She starts on Tuesday, will let you know how day 1 goes...

Easter 2011

We had a wonderful and relatively relaxing Easter weekend. Paul had Friday off of work so we spent the day hanging out on the beach- Adelyn LOVED it and made a new friend. She is such a fan of playing in the waves and does not hesitate to put her face in the water as the waves are coming in. We also attempted to dye easter eggs.... she was not as excited about the eggs as she was about the cups filled with colorful water. It was an interesting experience but she loved it!Saturday we went to Brunswick/Sea Island and spent some time at the beach club with Paul's grandparents, Mama Alice and Daddy Joe. Most of our time was spent in the pool as Adelyn loves that as much as she loves the ocean. When we werent swimming, one of us was chasing Adelyn down towards the beach because she kept taking off towards the sand. We stayed at my parents house that night and went to church with my family on Sunday morning. We had brunch with everyone (17 of us) that afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and are excited for the next.

Here comes the destroyer

There are goldfish in these eggs? Best egg ever!

Sinus Infection

I am sorry for the complete slack on the blog lately! We have been a busy family! We have had several gorgeous weekends and spent them at the beach. Last weekend Paul's mom came down to watch Adelyn while Paul and I went to Asheville. We had so much fun! Adelyn's nose had been running for about the past three weeks, this weekend it got really bad so I called the doctor. She has a sinus infection and was prescribed Amoxicillin. Dr. Thompson was happy we caught it before it spread to her ears! In other Adelyn news, she is able to stand up, without aid, for 10-20 seconds at a time. She is so proud of herself every time she does it. She will be walking in no time, and on the go from here on out. Wish us luck!

What do you mean Daddy's hat is too big for me?
