Potty Acclimating
I have decided that since Adelyn takes such an interest when Paul or (especially) I are in the restroom, that it was time to get her a little potty of her own. I am by no means believing that she is anywhere NEAR ready for potty training, but I figure it never hurts to get her used to the idea of going somewhere other than her diaper. I got it all set up while she was in daycare today (she is loving that more and more). When she came home she marched straight up to it, lifted the lid, played around and then turned around and sat down. I was quite pleased with how accepting of the whole idea she seems to be. I will probably sit her down after we wake up in the morning- not necessarily thinking she will go, again, just getting her used to the idea. If she happens to use it, we will go from there :)

Finally, the much anticipated pictures from our whale shark excursion are here.... remember they came from a throw away underwater camera that we purchased for $20 as we were boarding the boat (clearly we thought ahead)... enjoy :)

Labor Day
We hope that everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend, I know we did! Adelyn had a blast playing in the pool at Sea Island with her cousins, Alix and Clare. The child has ZERO fear of the water- she starts wading and then just drops, completely submerging herself, all with a huge grin on her face. She will also walk over to the side of the pool and jump- whether someone is there or not... I suppose it is past time to enroll her in swim lessons for the season, so first order of business next spring? Learning how to swim!
She has also started shaking her head 'no' to almost everything you ask. "Adelyn, do you want to color?" head shake. This weekend she began adding a 'NO' along with the shake. She has also started saying 'HI' and 'BYE', though the two sounds nearly identical, I am fairly certain she is actually saying different words :)
We would also like to extend our congratulations to Kelly, Justin and Jack and baby (girl?) Crosby!! Adelyn cant wait to have another play mate!
