I hope all had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. For the most part, the 3 of us certainly did. Friday night we went to dinner with friends and Saturday we spent the day in Jacksonville, Paul had to work that morning so Adelyn and I wasted the morning doing random things. That afternoon we went to a party at Anna, Kevin and Riley Valent's house to celebrate summer/Kevin's birthday/one last bash before their baby #2 arrives. Sunday we lazed around the house and ended up on the beach for the afternoon with my parents. That night we had my parents and Paul's aunt and uncle, Cissy and Bill, over to our house for dinner. Paul grilled and we enjoyed company. Yesterday was not as relaxing as we would have liked for a 3 day weekend to end- we drove to Orlando to purchase a new car and we are now the proud owners of a gold 2011 Honda Pilot. It was a long day of driving and Adelyn was a trooper (most of the time). We are excited for the new space and know that even Buck will be more comfortable on long drives- our first will be in 3 weeks to my parents house in the Blue Ridge Mtns of N. Carolina.
Enjoy the short week!

15 month checkup
Today we went to the doctor for Adelyn's 15 month check up and she was NOT happy about it! She has become all too familiar with that office and knew what to expect. Her stats are:
- Height: 32in- 90%. We compared it to her 12 mo checkup and determined that she was probably measured as a little taller than she was last time because that has been the ONLY measurement which showed her at 95% instead of 90.
- Weight: 23lbs 6oz- 60%
He checked her ears, nose, eyes and mouth/throat and was very happy with what he saw. He also noted that in addition to her top molars, her bottom ones have also decided to start coming in. All in all he was pleased with the checkup and said that we clearly have a very healthy growing girl who is going to be tall!
She got two shots today and will have to get one more at her 18month checkup and that is it for vaccines until she is 4 years old!! I know that makes both mommy and baby happy campers!

15 months and Walking!
Adelyn turned 15 months old on Thursday! She had been taking 1-2 steps here and there and I had always joked with Paul that her first real walking would be running towards the ocean. She did not prove me wrong. Yesterday as we were sitting on the beach with Nana and Pop-Pop, she took 14 steps towards the water and then sat down, played, turned around, stood up and took a solid 20+ steps towards us. She was so proud of herself!

Teeth, cold and more....
After two mornings in day care it was evident why, it seemed, all children I knew who had been in daycare all day for 5 days were CONSTANTLY sick. Adelyn has her first 'daycare' cold; it did not seem to bother her (other than someone wiping her raw nose), until yesterday. It was a rough day. She went to daycare but had seemed agitated, when I picked her up her teachers told me she had been a little more fussy than usual. After I picked her up I noticed she was touching her face and ears more and not sleeping like she normally does, she also cried most of the day. Stopping occasionally to drink fluids and read a book. I could tell something was wrong, but I did not know what it was. I called the doctor this morning and they had me bring Adelyn in to make sure it wasnt an ear infection. Thankfully her ears are clear and her cold is nothing more than a cold. We did discover; however, that she has two MASSIVE molars coming in on top. They havent quite broken the surface yet, which, according to Dr. Thompson, is the most likely cause for Adelyn's pain yesterday. He said that days like that will come and go over the next few months as these and her bottom 1 yr molars grow in. I am glad to know what is wrong with her, but sad that I know this is one thing that I really cant do anything to help. Today has been a little better, unfortunately she still isnt sleeping like she should....

Week 1
We have had two days at daycare now. She LOVES it! I brought her in on Tuesday and she left me with no trouble, on Thursday she barely said bye before taking off. I am glad to see it. Right now they are letting her go between the infant and one year old classrooms, just until she gets comfortable with everyone and can stay in the one yr old room the whole time. I picked her up yesterday and she was 'helping' the teachers feed the infants lunch while the one year olds started nap time. They told me that she likes to eat. A lot. I laughed because I can absolutely imagine her wolfing down her food and then stealing and eating the food of the poor sap that got stuck sitting next to her. That's my girl :) After two days I can also see the effects of daycare germs as she already has a small cold.
Adelyn's bottom teeth are finally starting to catch up in numbers to her wacked out top teeth! She has two new ones coming in to make it 4 and 4, this, of course, is making her a drooling machine. Between that and her snotty nose, she gives VERY wet kisses. It is yummy.
We hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
