Easter, a bit late

We have had several very busy weeks, so I apologize for having such a long hiatus between postings! Since our last post, I have been to Charlotte for a girls weekend with Paul's mom and sisters, had friends from Davidson come down for a weekend, Easter and this past weekend we went to Atlanta to the Braves home opener with Paul's family. We have had a lot of fun! And not many pictures to show for it as our camera card as run out of space and we havent gotten a new one.
Adelyn has become even more vocal, if that is possible! She definitely knows exactly what she wants and when. We have had to have a few 'time outs' and she has learned that means sitting in her chair, not talking, for 1-2 min, depending on if she is screaming or not. When she plays with animals I always ask her what ____ says? And she generally responds with the correct answer. Her new thing is to ask me what the animal says and then to answer it herself. We have also 'adopted' a 'stray' cat. She has been hanging out in our backyard for several weeks. Thursday evening Adelyn wanted to go find the kitty (who I had never met at the time). She is a well groomed cat who lets Adelyn pet her. Clearly not a stray. And clearly not terribly afraid of scary toddlers. The cat came around again on Friday and was here last night as soon as we drove in. Adelyn has been very distraught today because the cat has decided to go back to her own home.
Adelyn has been very good-ish about telling me she needs to go potty. We sit down and she starts playing with a bucket of outgrown shoes. For 10-15 min. With no results. I then put a diaper on her and 5-10min later I have to change her diaper. Suggestions on how to make her go potty instead of play on the potty? Thanks. Here are some pictures from Easter.
